Fugitive team still searching for Ypsilanti man on offender list

An Ann Arbor man listed on the state's Top-10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders was arrested last week after a tip from a Van Buren Twp. Police officer.

Scott Anthony Bedolla, 42, was arrested at an apartment in Taylor he shared with his girlfriend.
Bedolla originally was arrested more than several years ago for Criminal Sexual Conduct in the second degree, which is improper sexual contact with a minor younger than 13.
He had been listed as an absconder from the Michigan Sex Offender Registry and the Michigan Dept. of Corrections since 2005. Until now, his whereabouts were unknown.
Bedolla was arrested by state police second district fugitive team, out of Livonia, after the investigators at the Ypsilanti Post had received the tip. A preliminary examination is set for Thursday in Washtenaw County District Court.
Still listed as an absconder from the registry is Ypsilanti resident is 49-year-old James Lee Cooley who was arrested and convicted of three counts of CSC in the scond degree in 1995.
Residents with tips on the whereabouts of Cooley or other offenders not in compliance with the Michigan Sex Offender Registry, are urged to call Trooper Eric Byerly at the Michigan State Police Post 482-1211, or submit tips anonymously through the Public Sex Offender Registry at www.michigan.gov/msp
